Fall is Here

Fall is here. Days grow shorter. Nights grow longer. The heat of summer is gone. The air is cool. People put on a coat before going outside.

Fall is here. Children return to school. School buses are on the roads. Drivers must watch for the flashing red lights and stop when they see them.

Fall is here. The leaves change colors. They turn shades of brown, gold, and red. They fall from the trees. They blow in the wind. People rake the leaves into piles. Children jump in the leaves.

Fall is here. The apple trees are full of fruit. It is fun to visit an apple orchard. You can pick your own apples. Some are sweet. Some are sour. Some are juicy and crisp.
