Safe at Home

Deb and Zain are friends. They have coffee together once a week. Zain greets Deb, “Hi, Deb. How are you?”

Deb replies, “I’m not so well. I was robbed last night. The thief took my computer and my purse. I did not lock my door when I got my clothes from the laundry room.”

“I feel bad for you, Deb. We all like to feel safe,” says Zain. “I lock my door when I am in my home and when I am gone. I carry my keys with me at all times,” says Zain.

“I try to keep my doors locked too,” says Deb, “but this one time I did not. From now on I will lock my door each time I leave.”
