Paying bills is no fun. Many bills are even scary to open! Do you pay some large bills? How about your cell phone bill?Does the amount due seem to grow bigger every month?

How can you save money on your phone bill? Try these ideas:

• Use Wi-Fi. Use Wi-Fi when it is available. When you aren’t using Wi-Fi, don’t stream music or video. Streaming uses a lot of data.

• Check how much data you’re actually using. You may not be using as much as you think. Maybe you don’t need an expensive, unlimited data plan.

• Turn off apps that you aren’t using. Apps running in the background use data even if you aren’t using them.

• Sign up for automatic payments. Many times, a company may reduce your bill by up to $5.00 a month if they can automatically take payment from your bank account.

• Switch to a different carrier. Do some research and compare services. You may even get a good deal and special extras for changing your carrier.

• Keep your phone longer. You don’t always need the newest phone. Does your current phone work fine? Then keep it awhile longer!
